Overview

Shortly after saying to Jeannie in 2004, "Does it get any better than this?", Gerard and Jeannie went through a period of intense brokenness, following the suicide of their seventeen year old son Alex. Jeannie lost her faith for two years and, apart from God’s grace, their marriage would have failed. During this period, Gerard received a revelation of eternity which helped him to journey through a season of terrible pain and suffering. Through some supernatural touches from God, Jeannie came back to faith in Christ and they triumphed in their marriage. After this Gerard and Jeannie have created a lot of valuable assets like books, app, website etc to help people create a relationship with God through their ministry Awakening to God (ATG).

Problem Faced

There is no app available currently that would help people to spend time in the presence of God by studying the scripture, journal the learning, record thanks giving, memorise scripture, evening journals to record the day, sharing with friend and family etc. ATG wanted to create an app with those features to help people in their walk with God.

Goal

To create an app having a devotional journal to help you enjoy your walk with God, with thanksgiving from your heart, everyday touches and prayers. Inspiration for 8 minutes with God at the start of your day, learning to hear his voice, memorize scripture, pray and journal. Lots of great ideas to build your faith, share scripture, encourage others and strengthen family devotions.

Solution

MacAppStudio designed and developed the ATG today app and back end platform from scratch and delivered it in record time of 15 days since the ThunderClap campaign for the launch already had a fixed date. Using the app users can

1) now you can journal your walk with God on your Smartphone, Tablet etc

2) create and remember significant touches from God, everyday events, thanksgiving and prayers

3) build your faith through scripture memorisation and by looking back at answered prayers

4) inspiration and guidelines to help you take your walk with God to another level

5) learn how to hear from God and to live your day out from 8 minutes with Him at the start of the day

6) evening entries to remember your day and give thanks to God

7)encourage your family and friends by sharing daily scriptures and

8) thoughts and inspire and strengthen your family devotions.

Current Status

The platform was launched in June 2018 and so far it has helped deliver 1000+ devotionals to millions of users in over 10 countries. The platform helps users read the word of God, journal the experience, note important touch points, add thanks giving and share with their friends and family. With ATG Today app Gerard and Jeannie have been able to reach more people virtually in a very short period of time taking the message and encouragement of the word of God.
